On 29th July, Mr. Xiao Changxi, the Vice Director of Hubei Provincial Agriculture Department visited the hybrid canola seed production base of WUHAN GOLDCROP BIOTECH CO.,LTD, accompanied by the other leaders and experts from Huazhong Agriculture University, Oil Crop Research Institute of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Hubei Provincial Science and Technology Department and etc.
The seed production base of WUHAN GOLDCROP BIOTECH CO.,LTD is located in Gansu Province, of which the sea level is 2140meters,the annual sunlight amount is 2900hours, the average temperature is 3.3℃,and the annual rainfall amount is 300mm.It is a good place for seed production for hybrid canola varieties. Within radius of 100meters of production area, there are no cultivation of Cruciferae plants. Because of these above mentioned advantages, the genetic purity and the germination rate of seeds produced is of high standard and can be kept under normal condition more than 4years.
The Group experts visited the seed
production base together. They investigated on the facilities of seed base, on
the growing field of canola seed production, and made deep acknowledgement on
procedure management during rogging and quality control, and technical guidance
as well.
Mr. Xiao and other experts are all
satisfied with the surroundings of seed production area and the technical
procedure used for genetic purity control.
The annual seed production yield of canola
is about 200kg/mu, and of high yield advantage. The contracted growers and the
cooperation partner have gained good profits from seed production every year.
They even invested big amount of money on processing and packing facilities
improvement and warehouse and drying yard establishment to ensure the full
supplying of canola seeds to Hubei market.
In 2020, the Company has arranged about
400mu of seed production for canola varieties in Gansu Province. The estimated
yield will be 700000kg.
